Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of any data MYDWARE IT Solutions Inc. holds about you, including data obtained through the Facebook Login / Pages API integration in our Social Scheduler, as required by Meta Platform Terms §3.b.
What data we may hold about you
If you have connected a Facebook Page to our Social Scheduler, we may store:
- Your Facebook user id and the Page id(s) you authorized.
- A long-lived Page access token (encrypted at rest, used only to publish posts you explicitly schedule).
- The text, images, and publishing-status records of social posts you created inside the Service.
- OAuth session metadata (issued-at time, scopes granted, last-verified time).
If you do not have a Facebook-connected account with us, we may still hold business records created by one of our MYDWARE-authorized users (e.g., a CRM contact record, a support ticket). Instructions below cover both cases.
Option 1 — Disconnect inside Facebook (fastest)
You can revoke our app's access at any time directly from Facebook:
- Go to https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools.
- Find the entry for the MYDWARE Social Scheduler integration.
- Click Remove.
Once removed, our nightly token-refresh job will detect that the token is invalid and purge the stored access token, Page reference, and OAuth session metadata within 24 hours. Posts you had already published to Facebook remain on Facebook under your control — we cannot delete those on your behalf because they are owned by your Facebook Page, not by us.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
Send an email to privacy@mydware.com containing:
- The subject line:
Data Deletion Request. - Your full name.
- The email address or Facebook user id associated with the data.
- Which data you want deleted:
Facebook integration only,all personal data, or a specific description. - (Optional) A copy of identification, if you need us to verify the request against an authorized-user record.
We will acknowledge the request within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 calendar days, except where a shorter or longer period is required by law.
Option 3 — In-product self-serve (authorized users)
If you are an authorized user of the Service, you can delete most of your own data yourself:
- Sign in at https://app.mydware.com.
- Go to Marketing → Social Scheduler → Networks and click Disconnect next to any social account you want removed.
- Go to Settings → Profile and click Delete account to remove your authenticated-user record.
What we cannot delete
Certain records must be retained for legal or contractual reasons:
- Audit logs of administrative actions (retained up to 24 months for security compliance).
- Financial records where retention is required under Canadian tax law (typically 6–7 years).
- Records your organization has placed under legal hold.
These are retained in a restricted, access-logged archive and are not used for any other purpose.
Callback URL (for Meta App Review)
Meta requires either a URL with deletion instructions (this page) or a programmatic callback URL. This page satisfies the URL-instructions requirement and is the URL that should be entered in the Facebook App dashboard at:
App Dashboard → Settings → Basic → User Data Deletion → Data Deletion Instructions URL
